Frequently Asked Questions

What is freeze-drying?

Freeze-drying removes moisture from frozen ingredients at low temperatures, creating a lightweight, shelf-stable product while preserving flavor and nutritional value.

What are the benefits of freeze-dried dog food and treats?

Freeze-dried products offer a convenient way to add animal protein, flavor, texture, and variety to your dog's routine without the need for refrigeration before opening.

Can I mix freeze-dried products with kibble?

Yes. Freeze-dried products can be mixed with kibble or served alongside your dog's regular food. Be sure to account for the additional calories when determining your dog's total daily feeding amount.

Can freeze-dried products be used for picky eaters?

Yes. The flavor and aroma of freeze-dried ingredients can make them an appealing addition to your dog's bowl. Try crumbling a small amount over their regular food or adding water for a softer texture.

How should I store freeze-dried products after opening?

Keep the package tightly sealed and store it in a cool, dry place away from excess heat and moisture.

Do freeze-dried products add calories to my dog's diet?

Yes. Freeze-dried products contribute calories just like any other food or treat. Consider the calories from freeze-dried products as part of your dog's overall daily intake.

Where are Muenster freeze-dried products made?

Muenster freeze-dried products are made in our facility in Denton, Texas.

    My dogs favorite

Both my dogs love this topper. We took it camping and our friend's picky eater dinished off her food too.

    Elk is the best!

My Malinois is allergic to chicken so I have to be so careful of his food & treats. He hears me open the cabinet door where the treats are kept and he comes running. He enjoys the elk topper on his food. He has done so well on the Muenster diet. We will never buy another brand.

Topper - Free Range Range Elk Recipe

My standard Poodle loves this elk topper so much, he won’t eat his dinner without it. And the great thing is I only have to put a tablespoon mixed in with his wet chow and he gobbles it up with no hesitations. He loves it and I love that such a small amount of a healthy ingredient makes him enjoy his meals! I want to thank the entire Muenster team for coming up with a great flavored topper, because I am a happy mom!! 😁
