At Muenster, our story begins with family and a simple belief: dogs deserve food that’s as real and dependable as they are. For four generations, we’ve poured heart and soul into crafting high-quality nutrition right here in Texas—because we know that behind every joyful zoomie, muddy paw print, and happy bark is a pet parent who just wants the best.

  • 1932 — Humble Beginnings

    Joe Felderhoff starts Muenster Milling Co., turning locally grown grains into flour. Many of those early farm relationships still exist today.

  • 1947 — From Flour to Feed

    After Joe’s passing, his son Arthur takes over and transforms the flour mill into a feed mill, crafting high-quality livestock feeds for North Texas farms.

  • 1974 — Growing the Vision

    Arthur’s son Ronnie becomes president and drives growth by introducing specialized feeds for show animals and performance horses.

  • 1989 — Enter Pet Food

    Ronnie installs our first pet food extruder—marking a bold shift in the company’s future.

  • 1999 — Innovation in Nutrition

    We launch Muenster Natural, one of the first all-natural pet food lines in the country.

A New Generation (2007–2013)

  • 2007 - A New Generation of Leadership

    In 2007, great-grandson Mitch Felderhoff joins to lead sales and marketing. Chad, brother, joins in 2013. Fourth-generation led, quality remains unmatched.

  • 2019 — First Freeze-Dryer Installed

    We take another bold step in innovation with the installation of our first freeze-dryer—unlocking new ways to preserve nutrition naturally.

  • 2024 — New Facility, Same Values

    We open a state-of-the-art freeze-drying facility in Denton, TX—expanding our ability to create high-quality, nutrient-rich foods for pets everywhere.
